The Process

The idea was to have the camera constantly leading as a skaterboarded was doing trick after trick while locations seamlessly change. We knew that we needed a gimbal to get the job done. We utilized the Freefly Systems movi with our RED Epic camera mounted on it and sat in the back of a Honda hatchback to achieve the seamless match cut shots.

Although the shoot was very run and gun, safety was top priority. We got the necessary permits and also hired a police officer to follow us from each location to block off the roads from oncoming traffic.

The Result

The all night shoot was what all shoots should feel like, creating something so exciting that sleep isnt even necessary. We stayed up all night to capture the perfect morning light.
